BBK throttle body & Ford Intake cover

Has anyone done this combination? I just got done putting a BBK 62mm throttle body and CAI on my stang. Then i went to reinstall my Powered by Ford cover and realized it wasn't going to fit back on. I was wondering if anyone has modified the cover to make it fit. I think I'm gonna try and do it but just wanted some advice before i tried.

try using painters tape if you plan on cutting

any problems yet? apparently people don't adjust the voltage correctly, not sure what that means but its what I hear sets off all the trouble codes.

So far no problems with the TB. I just put it on today and drove it around for a while, but no codes or anything major. I am keeping the stocker ready to go back on if this one starts to act up.

Since I first posted this I've reinstalled the stock TB. The BBK one was make the car idle rough so I just took it off. When i did my install on the BBK I followed BBK's instructions and everything came out fine. I got the spring to a 1/2 turn.

Did you get a tune for the TB? I would think one would be needed since you are messing with the A/F ratio.

Another problem with the bbk tb. I've given up on that mod, just keep it stock. Go with another oldschool mod underdrive pulleys.

Zabteck Performance is a small company who makes performance TBs with factory parts. It seems that they just bore out the factory piece and slim down the plate. Currently, they have not released them for GTs yet, but the 6er's are loving them. They show about 10rwhp on the 300rwhp ballpark applications. They are trouble free because they are just using Ford parts.
