AutoWeek
It is shocking to me that Autoweek would allow such a lop-sided review of a car that is sure to set some benchmarks. I'm not saying that the Stang is going to be the epitomy of all things automotive, (although in my mind, its not far off the mark), but you would think that they would put someone with a little more mechanical knowledge, appreciation for the heritage of the Mustang, and I hope it wouldnt be too much to ask for a small dose of commen sense on the story. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but small things like this get under my skin.
BTW.. This is post #1 for me although I have been a fan of the Source for a while. More from me in the future.

$%&#in' women. What do they know about cars.
Man, I shudder to think of what the reaction here would be if a bad review had been written. You act as if someone was insulting an immediate relative or something.

I believe the problem with the review, for most on here, is that the author came across as decidedly biased. I don't have a problem with bias, everyone has some (or a lot). To understand her's, one only needs to read her 350Z article to see where she's coming from. She's in love with the Nissan and admits it. http://www.autoweek.com/article.cms?articleId=100162 The 350Z is a great little car and those who love 'em, really love 'em--including the author, and that's despite the nightmarish quality issues of the 03 350Z that she notes in the other article. With that in mind, I'm pleased she liked the mustang as much as she did.
I do think she missed the point in a few places, though. She complains about the acceleration/performance of the Mustang and her own test 350Z (track version) at $35000 posts times significantly slower than the MT clocked on an 05 'stang. She makes a general comment about the interior of the Mustang falling short in this article, and in the other she notes numerous flaws in the 350Z (grease on the windows, rattles, seats that wear out in a few thousand miles, etc etc) but still makes journalistic love to the car in the article. There are more examples of the same and that's why she's open to criticism. But hey, she's certainly no worse than some of the fools who write for the other publications.

Its not the Objective article review mustang site. Anywhosit, gender has nothing to do with it.
The really slamming articles are on the horizon just waiting to see the light of day after the new car smell has gone.
