Does anyone know the ... brand? ...size (depth)? ...or Model number? of the sub's in the front doors? I am pricing some stuff that a friend may be able to get me cheap. I just want to know the depth so that I can see if the subs that I want will fit. Thanks

no clue...I would have checked myself, but I didn't think they'd smile on me pulling off the door panels..., oh, and by the way, notice that on those subs there seems to be almost an inch of depth external to the door...so you may have some room to play with.

Thanks Steve. Yeah, they probably would have gotten a little upset. I noticed that there was about an inch or so stickin' out of the door panels, too, but so do the subs I want. So, I have no idea. I just hope they got about 4 inches of room inside the door.

i'd guess about that much...the door is pretty thick. But until I get to peel the door off of mine...just not sure.

The day after my car rolls in, it's headed to Car Toys for the install!

I am getting the 500, and sticking with that. Did any of you guys who actually sat in the Mustang get to turn the sterio up real loud and see what it sounded like?

yeah, I think it was dustin who said the shaker 500 was great. He said it sounded like it had subs, and he went to look at em, and there were none, because it was the 500. Those door-panel subs must rock

Anybody have any idea if the new Shakers will have that volume feature that the mach 460 has? I think that is the most awesome feature ever invented! <dont take much to impress me > I love to ride with the windows down, and when up to speed, cant hear the music, but with that auto volume control, problem fixed! I sure hope the shaker will have that...

I hope it will have it too. None of my other mustangs had it and I do like that feature.

I believe that the new PCM has something along those lines...I can't remember where I read it though.

I noticed a lot of the newer stereos have auto volume, most likely its based on the F-series system, they have it.

Yeah I read that it does have the volume thing. It said it had it on the shaker 1000, but they only like to talk about the higher end stuff. If the mach 460 had it, then i would guess that the shaker 500 would.

Now if only they replaced those 10" subs with 15's.
