Considering that I wanted an IRS from the get go, I'll be disappointed if the IRS winds up on the GT in the near future, after I just bought an '05 GT. I'd have to consider trading into an IRS equipped GT or SE (with a bit of remorse) if that does occur.
This would also tell me that the current lack of an IRS is not so much a cost issue, but more of an issue of needing more time to develop an IRS.
Also, if the IRS winds up in all Mustangs, we can pretty much dismiss Ford's original claim that said something to the effect that "Mustang buyers wanted a solid rear axle, which is why we went with it".
