rhumb: The 500 looks, as you say, like a mid '90s Audi/VW Passat... with Mercedes rear lights. Way to build a brand image, Ford.

OK, So here's the deal:

I'll be in the US for a flash visit this weekend, and will pass through the Baltimore area (from and to BWI heading to VA). I don't expect much dead time, but if there is, are there any dealers nearby who have got Stang shipments? There are NO ponies in this country yet, so I'd just LOOOVE to see one up close and personal.

Dude, see my post on "Satin Silver GT in VA". May have to search in a page or two.

That one may still be there.

If anyone around Central MD or DC area is interested there is a mineral grey V6 auto at Darcars in Lanham. It's already sold but you can go check it out.

Well now that I got to check one out, the car does look very impressive and much bigger than I thought it would be.

Wish I would have had camera but I was'nt in my car.

Ourisman in Alexandria, VA had a Silver GT parked in front lastnight. It had temp tags on it, so I guess it was sold already. Unfortunately, it was not mine. I also preordered a Silver GT. I thought it was mine when I drove in there....

Hall Ford in Newport News VA had three '05 Mustangs!
A white V6 with leather that came in Monday and sold today (10/20/04).
A legend lime V6 with automatic.
And a yellow 5spd GT with shaker 1000 and charcoal leather.

Ok an update, the Silver GT I saw at the dealer, it was an export item. Apparently people(in this case a military person) can order it from outside Ford somewhere, and have it delivered to a specified dealer. This person decided to have it delivered to mine....scaring me!!

So my dealer has not received any they ordered yet. They had two silver GTs, and a green V6 for Export.

Highest bidder deal eh? And all I have is this lousy lotto ticket. A looser at that. That is one fine looking car though.

I just went to Koons Ford in Sterling, VA. They have one 05 Mustang GT in their showroom. It is selling for $3000 over MSRP, and they tried to talk me out of my $300 under invoice '05 (good luck to them ). The car is incredible, though, and the interior looks far better than even the pictures show. Still gotta play the waiting game for mine now.

They tried to talk you out of your deal at another dealer? Well that means they are second guessing their $3000 over plan already. They wont find too many out there I bet to agree to that.
