I know exactly what you mean. I'm in the Marine Corps, but I am originally from Falls Church. I'm going oversea's in about a month or so but I wanna drive one before I go. Believe me I know exactly what you mean.

Just got back from college park ford and darcar ford here in greenbelt. Nothing yet, although they did have a hybrid escape with a market adjustment of 2995.00..... They also had a 500. I am really startin 2 dig that 500, thats the second one I've sat in and it sweet.

Just called Richmond Ford (Broad Street)...they confirm a Blue 05 is in their showroom...didn't talk to salesman but based on Forddirect website search of their inventory is most likely a V6.
Just talked to Sheehy on Midlothian (they are showing a Black GT in inventory) but they don't have it yet...said "on their way though".

This is all funny and so inconsistent.
My dealer, said I was the first 2005 Mustang owner in their dealership. I ordered a silver GT. They don't have it yet, but the "inventory mistracker" says they have a Mineral Grey V6. I was in the dealership, and they had my paper on the wall with others ordered, it has "SOLD" written on it.
If that was true, and if I was suppose to be their first, then either the inventory tracker is FOS, or the dealership is FOS.

Haven't seen any yet in the DC area, gotta be coming soon.
As for the Ford 500, seems like a nice enough car but perhaps a bit too safe a design? Basically reminds me too much of a nice update of the mid '90's Audi 100/A6:

Is it just me or does it seem as if Ford shipped the "stock" cars before they shipped cars that were "retail" regardless of when the car was ordered?
