Anyone see the Forza Motorsport Showdown lat night?
Man,
it was a cool show. They lined up several cars for numerous performance contests. They included:
1. 05+ Mustang GT
2. C6 Corvette
3. Nissan 350Z (two of them)
4. '69 Chevy Camaro
5. '69 Dodge Challenger
The Stang was piloted by a woman, who won the first challenge, a 1/4 mile drag race! She ran about a 12.99 or so. The Vette came in a close second I believe.
On the second challenge, a road course, the Stang had some bad luck and got on the track about 2 laps behind the other cars! She still managed to come in 4th. That girl can drive! The Vette took first followed by one of the Z cars.

I saw some of it, before I succumbed to being too tired. On top of being a good driver, that girl is HOT!!!
BTW, did anyone realize who the one race driver was? Its Ken Gushi, the Team Falken Drift driver who pilots the Falken Mustang GT. By no means am I am fan of drifting, buy hey, it is a Mustang, and the dude is good!

Yeah, I caught a glimpse while channel surfing and actually couldn't change the channel. It was interesting and I will be sure to catch the next show. +1 for the Stang Driver...she sure makes the show interesting!

Yeah, I have been waiting for this show since SEMA. Hal (Godfather Customs) talked about it a bit, and two of the cars (Hal's and the Mustang) were right around the corner from mine at SEMA. He couldn't tell me too much of course, but he had a good time doing the challenge.
I'll be watching to see how his driver (Freddie Lewis) does in the next few challenges.

the girl is hot but please - 12.99 with a Vortech?
I admit i was glued to the tv but the whole premise is lame. I don't care who drives the car - a 350Z cant outrun a Z06!!!!
cool cars, hot chick, but the rest is gay

that was a great show....but i figured some of those cars should have put up better ET`s....I loved the fact they got a mustang on it but I wasn`t` a fan of the alum. ground effects...the air ride on it looked pretty good handling those corners though.....and yea that chick was def. hot

I agree that the Stang should have put up better times, but keep in mind that the girl is primarily a road racer, not a drag racer. That's part of the premise. The racers are placed in driving scenarios that they are unaccustomed to, expect for one of the races. For example, Ken Gushi will surely dominate the drifting portion.
And yes, it's a standard C6. But when did the 350Z outrun the C6? I recall that in the roadrace Ken Gushi kept beating on the steering wheel cause he couldn't catch the Vette no matter what!

The Mustang was two laps down because the fuel gauge quit working and it was out of gas to be able to start the road coarse. They said once the Mustang hit the track it was actually turning the fastest lap times but there was no way it was going to make up two laps
I mioght watch more episodes but if I miss it, oh well...

The "chick" is one of two twin sister's that drive in the ARCA series and she is the niece of Derrick Cope (Nascar Netel Cup driver). All the drivers are racers from different series's, i.e. SCCA Autocross, Drifting, ARCA Stock car racing, Indy Racing League, World of Outlaws.

GREAT NEWS! Due to problems with other teams etc, the Mustang team actually came in with the big win to take the first challenge title. Very exciting to see the lone Ford in the crowd take the win.
Way to go HOTTIE!
She can drive too.

LG Motorsports is currently in the lead. The Vette is the most capable car out of them. Lou is more experienced in motorsports than any person on the show. The kid definetly has a great mentor.

I've seen every episode but the final one, they're entertaining. Hopefully my DVR captured the final one so I can watch it tonight

ATTN WEST COASTERS:
SPEED will be replaying the final (3) episodes of the show tonight starting at 11:00pm.
I'm in Arizona, we don't change clocks for daylight savings, so I have no idea what time that is anywhere else.
