Yes, if you are sitting beside another vehicle and not passing. What tends to happen, though, is the person in the right lane speeds up moderately as you speed up moderately and pretty soon we're all going 70 mph and still nobody's passing anybody. (but we are getting there quicker) I notice this alot because I use my cruise and the little + and - buttons for what they were actually intended.

In Washington state, there are signs every 3-5 miles that say "keep right except to pass", but there are still individuals who don't pay attention to that. (or can't read) As I stated earlier, I think it's basically laziness and an attitude of entitlement.

I've driven on the Autobahn, I know what the left lane is for. In Germany, between cities, if you're not going 150+ or passing slower traffic you stay to the left. I pretty much apply the same principles here. I stay left unless I am passing someone or going considerably faster than everyone else.

I think you meant that you stay to the right?

Save your money. LTI lidar (laser) units emit a tone and a reading indicating that a jammer is in use. The operator can still get a speed reading.

So if the unit is being jammed, exactly how is it getting a reading?? Or are they claiming that the LTI lidar is immune to laser jammers and operates on different frequencies than normal lidars?

LTI did not......but the others did.
Still Technology changes daily. Its a cat and mouse game. You just have to keep up to date.
FYI.
The new M45/M25 has better jamming than the older M40 and produces fewercodes. They should be putting it to the this summer. From prelimiary tests, it was JamToGun with no Jamcodes on the LIDARS below.

And i would rather get nailed with a jamming device then speeding. At least it won't go on your insurance record. As far as im concerned if you get your jammer taken away, its time to upgrade.

Results Summary

JAM CODES:
  • No jammer caused an E07 jam code on any LTI gun
  • Every jammer caused E04 jam codes on the Stalker LZ-1
  • Every jammer caused JA3 jam codes on the Laser Atlanta

Unfortunately here in California, as with some other states, you cannot have a laser jammer. I was under the impression you would just get a fixit ticket and no speeding ticket but this officer says this:

If I stopped you, I would:

1) Write you a speeding ticket with a visual estimation of your speed.
2) Write you a ticket for having a jammer.
3) Take your jammer and book it at the office.

Also is some more info about it here in california:

1) This is directly from the California Vehicular code...

CALIFORNIA CODES
VEHICLE CODE

speed of moving objects.
(b) No person shall use, buy, possess, manufacture, sell, or
otherwise distribute any device that is designed for jamming,
scrambling, neutralizing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with
radar, laser, or any other electronic device used by a law
enforcement agency to measure the speed of moving objects.
(c) Except as provided in subdivision (d), a violation of
subdivision (a) or (b) is an infraction.
(d) When a person possesses four or more devices in violation of
subdivision (b), the person is guilty of a misdemeanor.
(e) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a person who has a
valid federal license for operating the devices described in this
section may transport one or more of those devices if the license is
carried in the vehicle transporting the device at all times when the
device is being transported.
