crappy insurance companies screw you over when you file a claim. Stick with the big names.

I've heard of them at least, they've been advertising a lot around here lately. I just assumed they are a new company, not necessarily shady or crappy.

I've seen national TV commericals for Esurance (the ones with the animated pink-haired spy gal), but that's all I can say about them.

$1800 seems like a lot. Are you 18 or something. :0

Holy Shimoly!!!!!

$1800 for 6 months????????????

Before I bought, I called my insurance agent (CSAA in CA) and asked for my rate on a V6 and on a GT.

GT: $1300 per Year
V6: $950 per year

That's discounted a bit because I have homeowners with them but $3600 a year?!!!

That's more than my property taxes!

Hi,

I got a quote with them which was going to run me around $845 every six months. I was with allstate which would have been about $1100 every six months. I ended up switching to Geico which is running me about $750 every six months. This is for the V6. I am 39, single and live in S. FL . Remember, where you live makes a big difference.

I used to have them and didn't have any problems. I never had to file a claim or anything though. It was a cheap option when I was 18 and had my 98 GT, was only 1000 or so for 6 months. Everyone else wanted like 2000$.

I switched to Statefarm because they didn't cover motorcycles though, only autos.

dont count on it. if youve never had a car in your name before and you havent had insurance on your own before, jsut on your parents policy or whatever then it doesnt matter how old you are your gonna get hit. also takes in to account your credit. mine blows but hey it doesnt matter i got my car and now am only paying 300/month for insurance. 140 per month less.
