OK, the other day I was in the car, and it said I was low in gas....so I filled up. Shortly after filling, and a few times since (actually happened a couple times before that fill up too), I got the following message:

"Fuel Level Low
DTE FLI DATA ERR"

And when it does that, my gas gauge goes all the way down to empty. In addition, the day I filled up the tank, my engine light came on. It has since gone off, so I am wondering if it might be a bad wire or something somewhere....I have no clue.

Thanks all

Have you had your fuel tank replaced per the tsb? If so maybe they did something then.
Otherwise you probably have an intermitent (spellin?) short in the fuel sending unit (the level sensor most likely). Or it could be a bad computer (1 in a million odds on that one)

Take it in. Have them check it.
Like Dave said, if you've had the tank replaced, something could have not gotten put back together right or something was damaged.

I do remember some people here having similar issues.

Do a search and maybe you'll find your answer.
It doesn't sound too serious. Maybe a littel annoying though.
