Ford made an announcement today thet they are raising the MSRP of each model 1%. This is to cover the loss of the blue oval profit that went away. Here is the release that we recieved. If your price is based on MSRP you went up, if your price was based on invoice, no change.

Subject: Ford Lincoln Mercury pricing actions effective April 4, 2005
This letter announces Ford and Lincoln Mercury pricing actions effective April 4, 2005.
Dealer Margin Actions
Dealer Margins will increase by 1 percentage point for select Ford & Mercury vehicles (See Attachment I). This increase will affect MSRP only. Base vehicle increases will be as follows: $0-$510 MSRP on Ford cars, $0-$620 MSRP on Ford Trucks/SUVs, and $0-$455 MSRP on Mercury vehicles. This action does not affect WSD or dealer price of the vehicle.
Other Pricing Actions
2005MY Ford base vehicle price changes range from $0 to $350 MSRP ($0-$298 WSD). Ford destination price changes range from $0 to $55 MSRP/WSD. Lincoln Mercury base vehicle price changes range from $0 to $20 MSRP ($0-$18 WSD). Lincoln Mercury destination price changes range from $0 to $55 MSRP/WSD (See Attachments II and III).
Finance Charge and FDAF/LMDA Contribution Amounts remain unchanged. New price lists will be posted on fmcdealer.com and prices will be available through CONCEPS on April 4, 2005.
Effective Date
Price changes will be effective April 4, 2005.
Price Level
The price level code is 560, except 2006-model Mark LT which is price level 625. 2006-model Low Cab Forward & Motor Home remain at price level 615.
Price Protection
2005-model units invoiced prior to April 4, 2005 will not be re-invoiced.
Automatic price protection will be provided on:
Firm 2005-model fleet, retail, and demonstrator orders signed and dated on or before April 4, 2005, and received by Ford Motor Company on or before April 4, 2005.
Specific quantity orders for state and local government agencies with bids dated on or before April 4, 2005, must be received by Ford Motor Company within 75 days of the bid date or model balance out, whichever is earlier.
It will be necessary to file a price protection claim for eligible state and local government orders submitted to Ford Motor Company under a Governmental Annual Requirement Authorization without a GPC reference number, or for special bids specifically authorized by Ford Motor Company.

This pricing action continues to keep the Ford, Lincoln and Mercury brands competitive and aggressively positioned versus our key competitors. Please be sure you communicate these changes within your dealerships. Thank you for your continued commitment.
