I can't believe it but I'm the brand new owner of my very own 2005 Sonic Blue GT! Sorry no pictures yet but to make matters even worse, I haven't actually seen it yet either! :bang: I did get to hear them start her up and take her off the display ramp that was out front! OMG, I'm glad I wasn't wearing sweatpants.

The story is this, I live in Brooklyn NY and have been trying to move to Florida for the past year. As it turns out I have my oral interview with Margate Police Dept on August 10th(wish me luck!) and on a whim I looked up Margate's zip code on Ford's vehicle search. Can you guess what came up? A 2005 Mustang GT in Sonic Blue located at Maroone Ford of Margate (of course). I'm not one for believing in signs but....

So I call up the dealer and at first I was told they no longer have the car.
Then a salesman calls me and tell me they do have the car.
I ask if they accept X-plan and he tells me no.
So the following day I call back and speak with a sales manager who tells me they have the car and they will accept X-Plan but not family plan!
He figured the salesman thought I meant the family plan when I asked about the X-Plan. Now the only stipulation was that he couldn't hold the car while I wait for approval from my credit union. So I apply with my credit union and within 2 days(today 8/4) I get the approval. Now today I call back to make sure the car is still there & Yes it is but....now I'm being told by another manager that they couldn't accept X-Plan since it's such a HOTT car and they would only be able to do it for a new 2006 order. :angry: WTF!? (I'm thinking) Thankfully I got the name of the sales manager who said they'd accept X-Plan and even gave me a price quote. They get him on the phone and he actually honors his word! ($25705.48 before tax)

So when all's said and done, my friend rushed down to the dealer and gave them a cash down payment so I can get my purchase agreement and close the deal. I can't stop smiling ! What an amazing feeling. I fly down on the 10th and drive up on the 13th!

Hey, if anyone happens to be in the area you can drive by and see my car. It's the Sonic Blue GT, the one with "SOLD to Michael" in the window! If you do drop by please take a picture cause I'd love to see her!

Also for those of you who were behind me on Karpro's list you just moved up one!

The color does look really good. I've always had red cars but I really like the sonic blue after seeing your car Adrenalin.

It's funny how the dealer I bought mine from only ever got my sonic blue ordered. Now they have tons of people wanting that colour.
