Well as you all know last night was St. Patrick's Day, but it was also my friend's B-day. So we went to a sports bar to have dinner and some drinks and then headed over to a party. Now I was driving so I only had one drink to celebrate with dinner, so I didn't really need the free pass I got on the way to the party but it still is a cool story.

Ok, here it is we left and on the way to the party the PD had a check point set up on the main street, some people saw this and were turning down streets to turn around, but since I hadnt been drinking I had no problem with pulling up. They were turning every single car into the parking lot on the right to check them out. I had my window rolled down as I pulled up and the police officer waiving everyone one in to the parking lot stops me and comes up to the window and asks "Is this the new 2005 Mustang?" I reply with a yes and he then says "Nice car." To wich my answer was thank you. I then notice all of the other officers gathering around my car and I hear from some of them "Sweet car" and "Is that the new 05?" The first officer that stopped me then proceeds to say "Your not drinking and drving tonight are you?" And I answer "No Sir, I am the designated driver tonight." He then tells me again that he likes my car and tells me to have a good night and moves the cone and lets me continue by without stopping at the check point. He then continued pulling over every car behind me.

Now even though this was long winded (I appologize) the whole scenario only took about 30 seconds once he walked up to the window to the time he let me go so I dont know if he had enough intereaction with me to tell that I wasnt drunk, but that could've been the case. All I know is that my 05 gave me another free pass with the cops even though it was not needed.
