Hello Everyone. Well, I thought I should make this post as I find it to be amazing. Took a solo trip down to North Carolina to see my 89 year old Grandmother. From my home to hers was 267 miles round trip, all highway and Interstate. I filled up this morning and set the trip to 0, I have a non Mycolor GT. I returned to the same gas station and topped the car off with 9.726 gals of 87 octane. Do the math and you come out with 27.5 miles/gal. I am amazed and it could have been the 30mph tail wind coming back on Interstate 95, but I am clueless. Your thoughts?

I think I can believe that mileage. If you drive with a light foot on the gas pedal, that should be possible. Just driving around town - very consciously trying to get good mileage - I was up to over 20 mpg, and my car only has 250 miles on it.

I imagine freeway driving would be in the mid-twenties. I would hope to see what you got, though, in my car. The problem is trying to keep that 'light foot on the gas pedal'.

Sounds about right. When I go to my dad's I average somewhere between 25-27 MPG.

Well there have been claims that mileage gets better after first long trip. Breaking in the motor better maybe, not sure. But there have been several that said there mileage got better after a road trip. I just hit 700 miles on mine. So just a few more miles and I may make a trip somewhere. Congrats on the mileage.

Ya never know... I just finished a 170 miles Pony Ride with members of a local Mustang club. Based on my calculations I averaged 28 MPG in mixed city-highway-mountainous driving. I was expecting quite a bit less.

Good news. Soon after getting my car I plan on shaking it down with a drive up the California coast on the 1. It's got to be one of the most beautiful drives in the country, but I wasn't relishing the gasoline pit stops. Hopefully I will do well with the mileage too.

Trust me, my 89 year old Grandmother was not driving. Around town, I just cannot keep the old foot out of the gas. The car seems to get around 17mpg in town. On todays trip, on I95 I was on cruise at around 76mph for about 60+ miles. This being my first road trip since mid December when I got the car. She has about 3700 miles on it. The car is well broke in now and purs like a kitten.

It has been talked about before on here but cruising at 76mph with the winds blowing 30+mph the hood on this car loves to jump around. There is a lot of hood flutter. On the way back on I95 at about the same cruising speed with the wind mostly to my rear the hood was fine, very strange. The front ero package seems to really dislike higher cross / head winds. Just a question for the masses, does the chin spoiler like the cobra concept has help with ero disturbance? I guess what I am asking does it help to disipate the air that travels under the front of the car and up into the engine bay?

Well Bobby my mustang has about 70 km (45miles) on it ,all was highway from what i can tell and the car got was 26 miles per gallon (according to IUP puter). And that it is not broken in yet is pretty amazing.

I don't know about the front air dam ,but i do know if you look under the car behind the driver/passenger door area and attached to the floor pan is like a small air deflector on the underside of the car

Nice mpg! Question: Did you take the Hydrocarbon Trap out and/or put in a K/N?

That's where I'm at right now. Even on a road trip I'm lucky to get 21.

I just got mine on thursday. I thought that I was getting really awesome gas mileage...until I realized the message center was set to average MPH, not MPG.

I've been getting a consistentent 14-16 mpg mainly in city driving with some stretches of highway. I'm not complaining though, I would have stuck to my civic which got 40 mpg If I was concerned about gas mileage.

I just finished a 300 mile round trip this past weekend, most of it on a 2 lane HWY but about 1/3 of it on mountain twistys (YAY! )

I'm a heavy footed driver and I enjoy my V8 with much gusto, I still got 22 MPG for the trip
