That's a great rate futurestang. I'm 33 and USAA quoted me somewhere between 2300-2400 per year. And I have my homeowners insurance and mortgage with them too. I went on-line to GEICO and have $1300 per year. Oh yeah, full coverage, 100/300, 500 deductibles.

I'm ready to add my Mustang to my existing State Farm policies; they've quoted me $300 evey six months for full coverage (including collision and comprehensive), less than 7,500 miles annually. Being old sometimes has its advantages.

It doesn't matter what anybody else's quotes are, because it depends on State, Coverage Limits/Deductible, and of course the biggies of Age/Driving Record. I know one company I have found to be a ridiculously high: Geico.....probably because they have to rake some $$$ to pay for those stupid TV commercials. I grabbed Farmers (agent is a friend), and for full coverage w/500 deductible it came to 896 per year. 49...clean record. BTW.....it would have been $400 per year cheaper with a V-6, so the GT is quite a performance hit on the rates......but so what, you only live once.

Woo I love the net. I had insurance shopped for my 05 GT (I'm a guy and 23 so the outlook was bleak). I got quotes anywhere from $900-$1500 every SIX MONTHS!!! Then I shopped on the internet and found a reputable company who's giving me $1176 for an entire YEAR!! That's some cheap insurance for a young single guy driving a GT! WOO HOO!!!!
Great deal, good for you. Don't move to So. Cal, because I would bet dollars to donuts that you would pay almost three times that here. And that other guy is right who said sometimes it pays to be old.

Be careful with GEICO. I've heard stories that they drop you in a heartbeat, even if you are in a no-fault Ax, which keeps their rates low, but will make it more difficult for you to get your next policy, because you have been dropped.

My comment is this several years ago, almost 25 I wanted to buy a Jeep CJ-7. I didn't have the best record, the salesman sent me to a company I had heard of. Because I could not afford the insurance on the Jeep. I bought the Jeep changes insurance and was happy as a lark. When renewal time came around, I had had no more tickets or accidents, they jacked it up almost double. I have found is something looks to good to be true it probably is.

If you have hits on your license they may have not seen them yet. Come renewal time they probably will, JMO

Obviously, if you are a bad driver...or had bad luck, whitchever.....it's going to cost you. I think that location is a biggee for the theft reasons. I'm in CA and car theft is a huge problem. East coast too I imagine. Too many loosers with no job or ambitions in life....and drugs of course, major motivator in vehicle theft.

Phoenix arizona is one of the highest insurance rates in the country as well. Something like #6?
Full coverage for me (21, perfect record) is $1281 every 6 months on a v6. They wanted almost $4800 a year for the gt (2390 every 6 months).

Will do. Thanks for the heads-up! I kept my truck insured with USAA so if something like that does happen I should hopefully be ok and be able to use USAA for the Stang too.

I'm sitting around $1200 every six months at 24 years of age. I have some minor stuff in my history but it is all off my record now. However, to get that rate, I have a multi-line discount, renewing customer discount, and agood student discount. I turn 25 in March of 06 so that will be an extra discount there.

When I quoted the GT on my Progressive policy, it was only going to be $1136 for 6 months, $500 deductible. That's also with a 85 Z28 sitting on the policy(gave me a $300 discount for mulitple cars), and a few speeding tickets on my record. The crazy part was that the 05 GT was going to be cheaper on my policy than the 98 Trans Am that I had on there!!

We ended up going through a company called Mercury. We have the 05 GT(full coverage), a 99 30th Trans Am(full coverage), and a 89 GTA Trans Am on there(liab.) and we are paying somewhere around $1100 for the 6 months. I'm 22 and my boyfriend is 24.

Progressive online quoted me an increase of $580/year to delete my wife's old car and add the 05 GT

28 clean record, wife has clean record and I get a muli car discount too I think, that's full coverage with $500 deductible.
