I'm going to turn 50 in a few days, and people say I don't act my age. My latest mod of 4.10 gears have people my age shaking their heads and telling me that's what 20 year old kids do. They just don't understand how much fun it is to drive a car like this. Hey, if they are happy driving their SUV's or whatever, fine, just don't tsk tsk me because I want to have some fun in life.
Is anyone else my age experiencing this??

Well, it isn't exactly mainstream to see older men loving their cars as much as, say, 20 year old men, but there shouldn't be any tsk tsking on their part. You're just enjoying your life. Even though they might drive SUVs (i dont see a problem there, my dad has one, too), they still shouldn't look down on you or anything for that reason.
At least you know you can own them anytime..

Don't let it bother you. My grandfater who is 78 is still working and restoring his 68 mustang. It is his favorite car eventhough he has a new Lincoln Towncar. He still prefers the rumble of the old mustang over the luxuries of the new cars.

I think I'd like your grandfather!
I didn't mean to come across as someone who dislikes SUV's....hey, to each his own. And yes, I do own them!

Simply put, you are never too old to have fun! Do what makes you happy!
Carroll Shelby is about 82 now, so he was just a bit younger than you back in the late 60's. I bet no one ever told him he was acting like a kid!
Just sounds like you have never forgotten how to have fun.

Read all the post hoping no one said anything like this...
Just pull up next to them in their minivans or SUV's (unless it is a Dodge Lightening or Harley truck or something) and be like..
"Hey, you wanna race?" lol how funny would that be...
Just tell them to "pound sand"
Life i about having fun since we only live it once. Why put away your toys just cause you are getting older?
My dad is 46 and has a 600rwhp street legal WS6...anyone that calls him old needs to be slapped...instead I would be asking "Dude, can I ride in your car?!"

I too am turning 50 (29 Dec) soon, and I get a few "Mid life crisis?" questions with the raised eyebrows etc. I tell them, "NO, I'm not at mid life yet."
I made agreement with the wife that I wouldn't do any mods for awhile, so the shifter, CAI, blower, etc etc etc etc will have to wait.
Have fun with those 4.10s and teach a few of the "youngsters" what it's all about.
