Am I missing something?

I was at a cars and coffee event a few days ago. Of course, there was a guy in a 2008 Mustang GT, lost control and crashed against a poll. What the hell is going on. That many bad drivers? Or is the Mustang flawed in some bizzare way. Ger.

the flaw is in the foolish driver showing off, even a measly 300 HP can get you in trouble quick if you just push the pedal to the floor and hold it there

^^^ Nailed it!!!
It isn't just Mustangs either. You should see the Corvette and Dodge Challenger idiots driving their machines. YouTube is loaded with videos, and that's just the start.

It ain't JUST the Mustang as previously stated. It's the melon heads behind the steering wheels!

It's those inexperienced melon heads trying to show off that don't have a clue how to drive performance cars like the Mustang which gives them such a bad reputation. Anyhow, there's absolutely nothing flawed with the Mustang, but rather it's those drivers mentioned in the thread who are flawed!

Yup, it is the loose nut behind the wheel that is the problem. Those that do not respect the power under the hood.

Most of them are probably ricers who have no clue nor experience when it comes to driving high performance RWD vehicles

There's probably a lot of truth to this statement!

They come over from their Honda FWD ricers and think a RWD 400+HP muscle car will handle in the same way until they find out the hard way when they lose control and end up wrapping them around a pole or hitting spectators when trying to show off!
