2008 Mustang RSC-GT
I'm not sure how I feel about this car. I'd like to see the individual pieces they used. I also would have liked to see them do retro styling on the interior....like more retro.
Back end looks sharp.
Front end looks hidious at best.
front end needs to be much lower....but cool idea!
I see what you mean.
I think the rear end of the S197 is a bit large to begin with but when you add hips, the effect is even more pronounced in a profile view. To add hips, the rear needs some slimming down, IMO.

Hello, my name is Tony, I'm the lead designer for the Retrobuilt RSC prototypes. Thanks for all the input...good or bad, that's what we want. The pictured car is the prototype, several things have already changed on the production version, the hood is gone due to overwhelming suckness. The front end will come down a couple more inches, we left it a little high because the prototype one is fiberglass and we knew this car was going to be carted around the country over the next few months, we wanted to minimize damage until the eurethane ones are made. These are steel bodied conversions. We would like to hear and welcome everyones opinions before we go into production. There are 9 different models in prototyping now, the GT500KR is due out in the next couple weeks. The 69 Boss cars will follow shortly. Interiors have a carbon fiber fabric seat/door inserts, short throw Hurst shifters, billit sill inserts and stitched headrests. These cars retain factory warranty, we warranty outer body, so we have to stay within Fords parimeters on the restyle, structure and safety features of the car. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about the bigger butt on the car. The redesign also includes a chrome bumper version, this will be on the Bullitt cars and the Shelby's as well as the 69 Boss cars, this look tend to slim the butt a bit. The tailpanels are Billit and they cost a small fortune on the prototype which is why I did not paint it, but they are available in silver, black, and black with silver edges. Thanks again for any input, we want to try our best to come to market with something that appeals to fellow enthusiasts, so feel free to comment (constructive please?) we know it won't appeal to everyone. Thanks, Tony
