Almost 1000 miles

My 06 has nearly a grand on the clock, and it wasnt easy, resisting the urge to lay rubber (although I did break down and bark second a few times) I want to know from you do you think i should go ahead and change her oil now? Also, i cant find the info in the owners manual, but (and this is an embarasing question) how much oil does the 4.6 take? In my expereince, most engines take about 4.5 quarts...but I've noticed that some new engines take as much as 6. Enlighten me please!
Another question...(looks like somone isnt much of a mustang nerd ) What kind of system do these cars use to opperate the clutch? Every other veichele i've owned has used a hydraulic system....but the stang doesnt have a clutch master cylinder.....is it a cable system? Perhaps i'm not looking in the right place for the cylinder?
Dont laught at me too much, and help me if you can!

Im under the impression they use a hydraulic clutch.

Clutch is hydraulic.
Engine takes 6 quarts or oil.
If you haven't changed the oil already, do it now. I changed my oil and filter at 50, 500, 1000, 5k, 10k and coming up on 15k. Change yours now and at 5k, 10k 15k etc...
It's way past tire smoking time. Light them up. Rock on.

Really? My GT takes about 5.5. A V-6 takes more than a V-8?
