Was that Red one with the Mach Shaker a Ford car or a Private owner car?
It was done by Ford. They were wanting to see what people's reactions would be for a shaker-scooped car with a few Mach-like blacked out trim items.

No mention was made of the engine underneath the hood.

4 days, sounds easy to do. Only takes a few hours to install the shaker system. No mention of any other engine mods so I think it wouldn't take long to do what they did.

It also had limo tint on all the windows (couldn't see in at all).

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the engine compartment/interior were just a mess. From what the Ford reps were saying, they were just hoping for some feedback on the exterior.

I would agree on the engine compartment. My guess is that the shaker was hastily installed and not representative of any intake development effort.

As an aside, I really wanted to see you car with the fanblades. Sorry I missed seeing them. Where were you located in Mustang Alley?

My car was in the lot right across 9 Mile from the yellow Shelby. If my car had still been there, you would have been able to see it in BLT2RUN's pic of the Red Ford car (in the yellow box I added below).

I was there from about 7am-3pm. Was your Mach there?

Dang, walked right by your car area probably. I was in the line of Machs and Bullitts that was in the building across from the Shelby. So close!

Just got an email from a guy who posted a bunch of pics from Mustang Alley. There are some additional shots of the Shelby, as well as closeups of the Shaker hood and 64W bullits on the Ford red car.

They were polished. No sign of any midnight silver wheels on Saturday.

Here's a detail pic from the link above (credit to MLAV.com).

This car had BFG g-force KDWS tires on it.

The upclose pic and the wide shot don't look like the same rim at all (colourwise)

One looks like its high polished..and the other looks like its powdercoated or something

Is that closeup midnight silver?!?!

Actually... the closeup pic is from the exact same car.

When I was standing by the car, someone said that one side of the car had chrome finished wheels, the other side had polished finish. It wasn't a Ford rep though... I guess I never actually looked lol.

Anyway, here's a pic of the same car from the other side... you be the judge. This side (driver's side) was definitely polished though (and looking at the pics, the passenger side wheels look chromed).

I was there from about 8:15 to about 10:30. My wife and I drove up from OH and decided to leave because the weather was so bad. We werent prepared for such bad storms so we took off. Have to agree that those chrome 64w are awesome rims in person. Was really looking forward to hanging out more, but oh well. Next year I guess!

Definitely the passenger side wheels are chromed and the other ones are polished. Ford wanted to see which side garnered more attention.

They are definately different...

And brad said the finishes on the 2 18" Bullitts was a high polish/chrome look, and a midnight silver finish.

Can brad/Burning man confirm that the other side has midnight silver?

That second side doesn't look polished to me, it looks painted/powdercoated...

I definitely like the midnight finish of the 18" bullitts from the driver's side of the car. The chrome bullitts on the passenger side are too shiny (bling bling) for me.
