Tour of AAI? Sweet. I'll be there tomorrow with my Black 98 GT. I'd love to be there with my 06, but of course, I'm still waiting for the *#$&# thing, since January!!!

Woodward was absolutely packed last night, crazy! i was going to get to the alley around 9:30 today, looks as if we will have that Thunderstorm blow through here around then, updating my timetable to 11 or so, weather pending---hopefully the weather breaks, really looking forward to snapping some pics---

Just got back from Mustang Alley... of course, I forgot my camera at home :bang:
Hopefully someone else who went had their camera... there was a Ford test car there that had the 18-inch bullits (they looked sweet by the way - MUCH nicer than the 17s IMO).

Yay...
That red one there has the 18-inch bullits from Ford.
It also has no GT markings anywhere (has the pony package running ponies on the sides), and a shaker scoop (from what the Ford people said, it's the same shaker that was on the 03 Mach 1.

Does anyone think the red car from Ford might have a 302 under the hood? Perhaps a preview of the next Boss 302?

Always a possibility... I was there from about 7am through 3pm, and I didn't see the hoods opened on either the red one, or the yellow Shelby.
Also, the black convertible had the Ford engine cover on it (most likely the one that kc saw in the parts book for future availability).
I know I know... "worthless without pics" - I still can't believe I left the camera at home :bang:

Would definitely be worth your while IMO. This year they had events on Friday night, and all day Saturday.
Right next to Mustang Alley was a classic car show as well... a ton of people wandered in from the classic car show and were pretty impressed with all of the Mustangs.
There weren't very many 05s there at all... i'd say 15-20 tops (out of 400+).
There were a couple Competition Orange Cobras there, that really made me wish they had offered that color on the 05 (I love that color!).

I wish that car show wasn't in front of Mustang alley. Last year.. Mustang Alley was right off of Woodward on the West side of 9mile and a lot of the yellow Mustang Registry guys were parked there right up front. Seeing a pooload of yellow Mustangs drew in a lot of attention to come into the alley... much more so than the "show" cars up front.
