I don't know. I thought at one point they were going to make a design change. I know both of mine have a dark spot on the reflector. It sucks and Saleen basically told me sorry but we aren't doing anything. If anything you should go the Ford OEM route.

Are they ALL bad? Who knows? You pays your money and takes your chances...

Mine are bad. I don't know if they ALL are bad. That being said, the way Saleen handled their problem made me never want to waste money on anything Saleen ever again.

So I say go get the OEM ones from Steeda and call it a day.

Don't waste your money. Get one of the less expensive aftermarket kits. Instead of splicing them (the connector is incorrect) you can buy the correct H13 plug. Still not a bad deal for under $150 when all is said and done.

If you look at the reflector above the bulb you should see some discoloration.

You can see what we are talking about in the first post here.

PSH is getting detailed today, but I grabbed a pic from September and they looked fine then. I'll check her in real-life this afternoon.

I have the VVME kit and the harness plug is incorrect. You have to do one of the following

1) Tap 3 wires into existing headlight plug
or
2) Buy a H13 male connector and connect it to HID kit.

http://www.vvme.com/product/detail-20022.html
$85.99 + about $20 shipping.

The H13 plug costs about $16

It looks like the Saleen HIDs might be an early version of the OEM HIDs because they are made by Valeo Sylvania, the same manufacturer of the 08-up OEM HIDs.

do not buy the saleens. not only are they all defective, the company is horrible. they do not care that the reflectors burn up, they are rude on the phone, they are not addressing the problem etc.. stay away from them and just get a conversion kit.

The info I have from Saleen is that the HIDs which were manufactured up to mid 2007 had the problem. Then they were going to change production to correct the issue.

Anyone in here having newer Saleen HIDs?
Experience with the newer ones?

So the OEM and Saleen ones that are made by Valeo Sylvania are the good ones
that there will not be any burning with?
