Just heard this from a dealer....He read it off of a Ford directive from regional hdqtrs....more bs or possible truth???...I can see some logic in this...so add this shipping info to the rest of the delays for what it's worth.

My order has been on vacation in Detroit since October. Heck I haven't even received a postcard.

I would be hesitant to believe that. I live in the NE. I have seen lots of cars dribble into my local dealership over the past couple of months. This morning a sonic blue GT was delivered. Last week it was a white GT. There has been at least 4 V6's in the last month.

Yeah, I didn't get a postcard either.... But she came to her senses and came down to the warm Southwest. Although she started having convultions when she saw snow at a cruise to 6000ft yesterday!

Dealer just called me. I am to be pulled next week or the week after. He talked to "his guy" in Kansas City. I should have my car around the first of March. I don't see any logic in not shipping cars north. I'm sure someone else will have some info.

Not completely b.s. but not completely true either. The majority of the national allocation numbers are going to the warmer climates currently but we have a couple sold units coming in over the next couple weeks. Ford has assured us that as we come into our spring market that we will start to get on a more level playing field with the other markets.

I find it easy to believe actually...Seems like there are 12 or more of them sitting at every dealer around here....mostly v6's, but some GT's also....makes sense the south might get a bit more anyway as you guys up North would probably just be storing them anyway....

I don't see why Ford would care where they ship them. As long as they get paid, they shouldn't worry about us getting stuck in a ditch.

Karpro's post echoes what my dealer told me a week ago. The size of the dealership probably affects the allocations but in general most of the New England states are getting very few Mustangs till April.

Allocations have to do with sales in the way that they get units when they sold out of the units. Also size does matter in a way because the bigger you are the more cars you need and the faster you sell them the more you get. It’s all common sense.

I think that's why they are shipping more to the south. More people are likely to buy a car they can drive year round than a car that they would only be able to drive during the summer.

Although it doesn't seem fair to my northern friends (aintcha glad I didn't say "yankees"), I kinda sorta hope there is a little truth to this thread. My T85 has been "clean and unscheduled" for quite some time now (DORA 11/1/04) and, last I checked, Georgia was a southern state. 'Course, my dealer changed my priority from 10 to 12.

T85 is a vert, verts haven't been shipped anywhere yet. Probably won't see them at dealerships until March at the earliest.

...but they have been scheduled. Heck, some have even been seen on southern roads (one yellow one with a black top and dark charcoal interior in Georgia for sure).
