All Ford Weekend Carlisle, Pa June 1-3

I'm trying to get an idea of the interest level in doing a TMS cruise to the All Ford Weekend in Carlisle, Pa this year. The event is June 1-3 and of particular interest (at least to me! lol) is that they will be having a Mach 1 reunion for all years of Mustang Mach 1's.

If anyone is interested, I'll start working on some details...

Scothew, do you think I can get a sticky in some of the main forums for this?

I usually go every year, but now that I moved further south hard to get up there. Also, Stangfest is like 2 days after that

Paul, I'm with Mav above. We go with the Bad Mustangs Club. Once we get 25 people registered, we get a free tent to sit under, and a place for all the members to park their car. So far we have 11 registered, and its only the beginning of January. Last year we had 15 of us head up, and met up with the rest who had the tent. This year, we are making it a 3 day affair. We even scored hotel rooms at a discounted rate for those who want to stay for the whole weekend (Fri-Sun). The hotel deal is pretty DARN good (its $112 per, instead of almost $140 per night at Hotel Carlisle). If anyone is interested in heading up with us, feel free to let me know. The more Mustangs the greater the time!! Alot of us on BMC also are on TMS, and its all Mustangs, so its good by me.

I've been going every year since 96. I'm sure I'll be there once again.

I wasn't quite ready to go last year. I just bought my car at the end of January and it was in pieces at the time of the show. I went up later with my son to the All Chevy show with his Camaro. My concern is getting in and out of there. I really don't think my car can make it through there. I looked around and it looks VERY rough and bumpy. With the car lowered, the Cervini's side exhaust sits just under 3" off the ground. I have trouble driving over the 2" weather strip getting into my garage. Has anyone found a good way in there to avoid the bumps, ruts and potholes? -Joe

Getting into the show last year wasn't the prettiest, but I am sure there is a way for you to get in without damaging your car. If memory serves me well, we entered at Gate 6 (?), parked our cars on the stones to sign in, and then drove out to the grounds. I remember that other than the stones, the drive out there was basically flat. My group from BMC went down one of the lanes (which is smooth pavement), and then parked on the grass. The best thing to do, if your really interested in going, is give them a call, and let them know about your concerns. They may have a solution to help you get in. I am sure that they have ways to do it. Just think of the Ford GT's that will be there. They only have a 5" clearance, and that is really stretching it. Hope to see ya out there. I haven't seen a Cervini's car other than the company car that was there last year.

We're going.

Dawn's brother might go, too, with his red GT500.

Hey Jeff, what about merging the two groups? I would think that could get you to 25 pretty quick...

It would work for me. Everyone on here would sign up under BMC, but like last year, alot of BMC members are also TMS members. I'm totally cool with that.

Hey Patrick, where are you located? Interested in parking with a bunch of Mustang people?
