Air Filter Changeout

Has anyone changed out their air filter? If so, what are the procedures...I know there are two pull-tabs (they snap when pulled)...and then I'm wondering whether or not you have to disconnect the closest wiring harness on the rubber air intake in order to have room to lift off the air box cover and replace the filter.

Thanks!

The only think you have to remove/unhook are the snaps on the filter box. They're kind of a pain unsnapping, but that's all you need to do. Seems that they could have made an easier to remove snap IMO....

Giddyup, roger that...just pull on those two tabs and lift...no need to remove the electric harness attached to the intake hose and there's plenty of room to remove the old filter?

Yup, it's an easy easy job. I replaced the dirty filter in mine at 18K, with a K&N filter. About $45 at Autozone. Not as good as the whole kit, but worth a few ponies I'm sure.

It takes like two seconds. I didn't do it, but you lift the old one out and snap the new one on.

Thank god, my 2003 is a PITA just to line up the inner part of the cone and seat the intake into it.
