Use to be a member but all they wanted to do was fine a diner and eat.
I had a friend that graduated from Adams in 73... Jim Rainwater ring a bell?
Sometimes I go to the car show and chili cook off in the fall in Rochester. Let me tell you they don't like Mustangs in that show.

Hey all you old timers. I'll be 69 this year and you couldn't pull me from my 06, if you could catch it.

Jim does not ring a bell with me, however there were a lot in the graduating class. Maybe I would remember him if I saw his picture.

Didn't realize that there are politics involved in the Chili Cookoff. Lots of cool cars there. Mine isn't show quality, however it would be fun to shine it up and show it off!

Take care,

Phil

Age 54. Took delivery of our 2006 GT vert when she was new. She had 11 miles then, and I had 47 years.

I got teased about the midlife crisis car. I explained the ideal Mustang was one with a V8, manual transmission, and a top that goes down. Then I explained I have been driving Mustangs since I was 17. It just took 30 years to get the perfect combination!

I used to get teased about a 'mid-life crisis' too. I apparently started suffering from it at age 16 when I bought my first muscle car. Not only have I owned muscle cars my entire driving life, but BMW & Porsche too. Looks like I'm heading into my 60's in a few months, still suffering from this now 44 year old affliction. It's a nasty disease.

Going in this Friday for upper back surgery myself

Guess I will have some extra time on the computer as I am healing up!

Ordered the 08 when I was 27.

Love older muscle cars and have had a few 60's Mustangs. Currently have a 69 Mach1 tucked away in the garage waiting for me to get interested in her again.

Bought my '09 GT new when I was 25 and it will be paid off in May. It's at around 45,000 miles.

Bought my '99 V6 used when I was 19 and its engine seized in January of 2012. I got 9 great years out of it and ended up at 157,679 miles.

My 2000 V6 had 160,000 when I got rid of it. It was having electrical problems that I couldn't figure out. When all the interior and exterior lights went out and back on all at once, and I smelled burning wires, I decided it was time.

54 this year. First Mustang (but not first Ford) was the '08 Bullitt, bought in '08.
Still love these '05-'09 cars.

Yeah, I would have loved to keep it forever but it wouldn't have been worth trying to fix everything that started falling apart. I even considered a used engine or rebuilding it. Even though I kept it maintained, it was getting to be its time too.

I do miss driving it as my winter car. The '09 does surprisingly well in the snow though. Thankfully it'll be time to swap back to summer wheels and tires as soon as the rain washes away all of this salt.
