My Shaker 1000 head unit just went out on me, and the dealer won't have replacements until January probably! I thought I might just replace it with an aftermarket head unit, but don't really know how possible that is. I know there are kits and harnesses for the stock CD players, but not the Shaker systems. You would have to lose the subs, and I don't want to do that. I would also like to use all of the stock speakersand amps for the time being. Does anyone know the solution? Surely there is something that I can do. Haven't people changed the headunits on the Mach 1000 systems before? Somebody please help! Thanks.

Of course it can be done. Take it to a professional car hifi specialist and you will not believe what you hear once they are finished.
