Does anyone have any pictures of the side impact air bags? I am thinking about ordering them when I order my car, but I want to see how much they screw up the interior. And PLEASE tell me they are NOT mounted on the seat... I can't see how they would be, but I did see a picture of one seat that had an "airbag" lab sewn into one seam near the top of the seat. That scared me...

they are mounted in the side of the seat, but sitting in them you do not notice that they are there.

You can feel them in the side of the seat. It kinda feels like a rib down the side of the seat about 6-8 inches long. It's not obvious at all in how it looks, but you can feel it when you squeeze on the side of the seat IMO. I opted to not have them....but it will obviously benefit the insurance rates a little bit. I wanted a seat with material/padding and nothing more.....but each to their own.

I have them and do not even notice them (except for the tag). I talked with Geico and they said there is not cost reduction since it already has the front airbags.

Thanks for the replys folks! If I won't get a reduction in insurance (still need to double check this), I don't think I will get this option. Long term plans might include replacing the buckets with something a bit more sporty.
