After waiting since December 8th and having to order twice, I finally got my Windveil blue GT last night.
Wow!!, this ride is all that and a bag of chips!!!

I don't own a digital camera, so pictures will have to wait a bit. You can give me the 'TTIWWP'.....
I did have the dealer add the V6 'Mustang' stripes on the side, it really gives the car a nice look in my opinion (others will think differently, of course)

Question: they tell me that I need to change oil at 5000 miles, wouldn't I want to do the 1st change sooner?

I changed my oil at 500, and went fully synthetic

 

i think its 3000 miles for the 1st oil change. i looked at my dipstick and its telling me im due very soon. im actually gonna call now

 

I thought the "normal" interval was 3,000 - changed mine at 1500 but alot of folks do it earlier than that for the first one. 5,000 seems way too long for the intial IMO

 

anyone know....the 1st oil change is free at the dealer right......otherwise i go it myself

The oil should be changed every 3 months or 3,000 miles.

Ford manual and my salesman both say that since its a synthetic blend to change every 5,000.

I'm a little over 1,000 now and am wondering when to change myself. (Yes, first oil change at dealer is free.)

Next one will be at @5000 miles

 

My 1st oil change was at 2900 miles. Next one will be at 6000 and I'll go full synthetic.

 

3000 miles, nothing more!

 

Ford is taking forever to get these mustangs out there. I lost a customer on one do to there 6 or more month wait. Now I'm tryin to find someone to take his place before it hits the lot and someother sellsman get's the deal.

The rest, 3000 mile intervals.
Mobil 1 synth.

I have 1500 miles on mine and I'm on the third oil change.

I'm sure I'll hear about it from those with other opinions but to me . . . oil/filters are cheap insurance during the break-in period.

I'll be switching to full synthetic when the engine tells me it's ready via the improved gas milage that comes when it's finally broken in. Then I'll be changing it every 3000.
