After 6 1/2 months....

Well, you can see in my sig how long it actually took for me to finally get this car. It came in around 2:30 today but I couldn't get to the bank in time, so I will be picking it up tomorrow. Here is a picture I snapped with my cell phone (that's why it isn't the best quality). I will post more pictures hopefully tomorrow. Then this weekend I will get a chance to put on the Mac's and h-pipe. It's finally my time to get some nanners!

Congratulations! Why did it take so long to be serialized? There is no excuse for a dealer waiting that long to get your car built. You should have cancelled and reordered from another dealer. Average wait around here is still 8-10 weeks. And you are in Michigan too!
Your car will look awesome with some stripes too!

I know for me it's even taking a little longer. I ordered 6/11 and finally got serialized last week. Just called today and it's locked into production for week 0f the 23rd. ETA to dealer is week of 2/16/06. My issue was having to order from a smaller dealership 100 miles from Minneapolis. I live in the twin cities, however all the dealers got together and said no xplan on 06 gt's. Well, I call that colusion. I wanted xplan so realized I would have to wait a little extra. my priory was a 15 and I believe they started at 10 for priorty numbers. Plus, Ford slowed down production on manual gt's. So, that's the reason my will be taking so long. Anyway, it's great you'll finally get your car and just in time for the weekend.

Wow, this car is SWEEET! Figures, the car comes in on Thursday afternoon (not enough time to get to the bank and such) while it was 50 degrees and sunny. I pick it up Friday and it's 40 and raining. Drove it almost straight to my garage and parked it. Told the dealer not to clean it up (less chance of porters scratching it while washing), that way I can wash and wax it on the next sunny, somewhat warm day. Long story longer, the next nice day I will wax and take a bunch of pics, as I believe this is the first VB coupe GT spoiler delete w/18" bullits on the site (correct me if I'm wrong). Mac's and h-pipe to go in this weekend.
