Advice and Help for this Noob

Ok, I have full exhaust and just think I want to add an intake or an intake and tune.

I have one friend that says just to get the intake and I have another friend who says to get both.

Im not doing any racing, Im just flying around town.

Should I spend the money on the tune or should the CAI be good enough for the extra ummmmfff.

Please let me know?

what are you going to see... as in hp gains?
JLTII plus SCTXcal Tune claims 25 or so rwhp, you will definately feel a big difference and the throttle response will be 100% better. I really recommend the CAI+Tune. I went with bamachips, some go with brenspeed, and some with tillmanspeed. I hear all are great tunes.
Good luck

You will immediately notice less money in your wallet and more rubber on the pavement

Unless you get one of the few CAI's that don't require a tune , I think K&N makes one , you have to get a tune ...

Get the tune. I have an automatic, and my car now barks the tires going into 2nd and 3rd. It completely changed not only the engine, but the transmission as well. I got a JLT and tune from Bama, but the others listed on this site are good, too. Go ahead and get the premium gas or race tune as well. You won't notice the price of gas, but you will notice how fun your car is. For some reason, my car even sounds better, even though I haven't touched the exhaust. Ford should not have produced a car that could be so easily improved. They should have just released the car already optimally tuned. It's like they knew we would tinker with it, so they intentionally held back just so we would have something to do. So...get the tune.

You should get both. Without a tune you might have problems with the "check engine" light coming on as the mustang's processor will not recognize the CAI. Also the tune, especially from Brenspeed will smooth out the shift points.

Well both, most CAI's require a tune.

Tune and CAI are good, but if $ is a factor, the best bang for the buck is a tune.

Definately get both. If you have full exhaust ie. Long tubes/shorties etc you needed a tune to get the most out of them anyway.
