I'm gonna need a new transmission soon. I have an 05 v6. How should I go about gettin it fixed or rebuilt. Or buy a new one.

 

Why do you say this?

 

Well it slips gears and doesn't catch gears. Like the problems you might have with a standard car but its auto. And I already did the whole fluid check.

 

New is going to run you a whole lot more than getting it rebuilt. Not too sure where you are located but I'd try hard to find a shop that is honest and truly rebuilds the whole unit. Not just the parts that are causing the failures. So to save some cash, I'd go rebuilt.

How much is a rebuild? Id say look for a used.... 06/07/08? Idk. Not sure of financial situation, but i wouldnt dump that kinda money into a 7 year old car :/ (unless its heavily modified).

The parts usually come with a 3month warranty I think u can also buy an extended warranty for parts u buy also.
