Adding reverse proximity beep feature

My girlfriend just got a Mercury Mariner. It has this cool feature where when she is backing up it can tell how far away it is from another object/car and beeps progressively louder as you get closer to the object. It makes it 100X easier to back into parking spaces.

It really works well and I prefer it to a reverse camera. Does anyone know if this feature can be added to a stang and who makes them?

I bet her Mariner has those little round sensors built into the rear bumper. I have never seen an aftermarket add-on that does the same thing. Hmmm. Interesting idea though.

Edit: Ok. Never mind.

SWEET!!! Im sick and tired of the golf ball hanging in my garage. I have to back my car into the garage or I cant get out. (bike and other crap in the way) I think im gonna have to get this system.

delz05, was it a PITA to install?? and did you get the "in the bumper" or under the bumper??

****, this for the stang and seat heaters for the escape,,,, no wonder my license plate says BUSTED

Ohh yeah, would it have killed Ford to install auto headlight??

Those back-up sensors would work great in the front end of Mustangs to keep from wacking lower bumper fascias and expensive add on chin spoilers.

I just screwed a 2x4" to the floor where the rear tyres will hit and still leave 6" to the wall...

You go ahead and screw all the 2X4's into your garage floor. Im not gonna. I spent too much time and money patching and epoxying my floor to f-it up.
