Well The wife took the car into town yesterday and when it came home it had a new feature. A nice long key scratch along the 1/4 panel I just don't understand the people who do this poo. What do they get out of it? Do they enjoy ruining peoples property for kicks ? Is it jelousey ?? I would LOVE to catch the little ***** and show him why I get suspended form so many hockey games !! And no it can't be polished out. It's just a good thing Im a painter or this would cost me a ffortune to fix...and at Christmas time to boot.... I just don't get it !!!

definately someone was jealous and that is one thing I hate about owning a new car. My 97 got egged all the time and usually happened after I spent hours polishing it.

I totally agree flight96. I had someone pop my fender emblems off once and I had to have the fender repainted, which cost a crap-load, all for a $10 emblem. It's really a shame people are like that.

Ya...and the real pi$$ off is I have the MRT louvers so they have to come off. Ya prep the area where the scratch is and prime it. Then ya mask off the entire panel, including over the door, and paint the area around the scratch, blend it, then let it set up. Once that is done, ya clearcoat the entire panel. If I was to charge someone for this it would be about $500.00(CDN).Paint costs are VERY expensive.

Man, that really sucks that someone has no respect and would damage your ride for nothing like that. At least you are a painter yourself though.

Man, that sucks, Ken. I know how you feel, well sort of, getting my first door ding. I wonder if someone did by accident with a belt buckle trying to manuver between 2 cars with an arm load of gifts? It does look deliberate thought. Any idea where it happened?

At least you can fix it yourself. Why not go through insurance? No comprehensive?

Try to have a good Xmas anyway, and save the rage for the rink. Or unless you find the little large guy in Austin Powers!

That really sucks. I know how you feel. It happened to my 88 GT long ago. Then my 5.0 badges were stolen. I hate parking my 06 GT in a public place. I also hate having to spend money on anti-theft systems and LoJack, but thats the world today.

:bang: This is so frustrating to hear. I have been told my car is ugly, had a big gulp thrown into the interior when it was parked for a few minutes with the top down.

It is the realm of mental pigmy's. 99% of the time I get a "nice car" or a thumbs up. But sadly the closest some people will ever get to a nice car is, as a vandal.

Peace on Earth, have a Merry Christmas.

I feel your pain, knowing all too well the frustration of senseless vandalism. Just remember that it's an easy fix, you will still be driving one of the most badas% cars on the road while vandal boy toots around in his POS.
