They had a Mustang pacing the bush race yesterday too! Looked a lot like mine. White with blue shelby stripes. I like mine better though because the stripes go all the way down the bumper. Yesterday they were trying to dry the track and the pace car had the cars doing over 100mph behind him! Can you imagine pacing the race in your car at let's say 105mph! That would be a dream come true

I was pulling for Tony Stewart. He was in just about every lineup position during the race. Went from 4th to 10th and finished up in 2nd. It was pretty cool watching that 05 lead the pack. Those stripes looked like dealership stripes-a little narrow for my taste.

Thats was a crazy race. Combined with the busch series they must have totaled half the cars on the track this weekend. Been some good races this year and I love them ending under green.
I used to hate Gordon too but ever since his Ex-wife tried to put the screws to him so bad Ive started to like him more.

The pace car looked good leading the boys around today, and it was one heck of a race, races like that are what NASCAR is all about, I look forward to next weeks visit to the lady in black under the lights..........
Now on a side note as it relates to Mr. Gordon.....I wont knock Jeff's talent or acomplishments becasue he is one of the best drivers out their today, As a human being thou I just can't stand him, just something about his personality that urks me especially when things don't go exactly his way, could be worse thou could be Kurt Busch.

I don't understand the Gordon thing either, except for the Chevy part, natch.
The guy's good. Wait, check that, he's rather awesome. But there's this mentality that you have to rise through adversity (like, oh, maybe Dale Earnhardt,) or be a son of a man who rose through adversity (like, oh, maybe Dale Earnhardt Jr.) to be a REAL NASCAR driver.
But be a pretty boy from Indiana, born in Cali, have a natural ability (rather like Schumacher in F1) to race, and a further ability to choose wisely in your decisions about who you race for, and on top of it all, not be all like "I'm a bad *** ************ who will kill you and eat your children" is not the NASCAR way. He's likable, and that just rubs the NASfans wrong, for some reason.
But no matter. I root for Rusty Wallace. I don't know why. I just like his demeanor, I guess. He drives a "Dodge" (yeah right) now, but still.

I'm not a Gordon fan, and the guy has more LUCK than all the other drivers combined. He is talented, I will give him that, and back a bit, he and Evernham did have a great thing going. Thing is, he DOES have great luck. How many drivers can be 3 laps down and come back to win the race?? Yes, there is some skill involved, but lets face it, he has tons of luck as well.
He also drives Bow Tie (and I'm sure wears one on weekdays) so that's a big strike against him for me.
Since DE Jr took out all the cars capable of catching Gordon, he of course took the race. Gordon did have the best car on the track though.

Jeff Gordon is the best in NASCAR right now...and maybe more than right now. :worship:
Besides, you watched the race: there weren't any cars capable of beating Gordon yesterday. He would have had to make a mistake to lose, and he doesn't do that too often.
