It would also be nice if that car got a special plaque or something denoting its special place in Mustang History!

You #s are a bit off.

160,9750 Mustangs were sold in the US from Jan 1, 2005 to Dec 31, 2005. Most likely about another 15,000 were sold in Canada and another 5,000 in the rest of the world.
Those sales #s include left over 2004 MY, 2005 MY or 2006 MY Mustangs.

160,412 Model Year 2005 Mustang's were produced, so obviously the 2005 calendar year sales #s include other model year Mustangs.

chooch, YOUR numbers are off. 2005 mustangs were not produced from Jan - December 05. It was more like October 04 to October 05, but I guess your little almanac didn't tell you that

Read his post again. He said 160,975 (or 160,970) were sold between 1 Jan and 31 Dec 2005
