So, its taken over a year to be able to get the car completed enough to place her here, It has been at the body shop since the 27h of Dec. 2019, most likely wont be home till January as they still have paint in the engine bay fix the fender extensions and replace the C decal (don't look) but its almost done and for the most part it has turned out the way I wanted it. Till she comes home to a garage full of stuff just for her.

Really like the transformation. Looking forward in seeing the completed transformation when it's done

Original looking tail lights

How come no one has made original looking tail lights for the s197 05 thru 09 mustang's. I made my own but if I could have bought them it would have been a lot easier.

This was a pic from Mustang Memories 2012 show in Michigan. This guy also made the taillights for a sweet retro look.

Might send the poster of those lights @SeanD a PM (Private Message). He has not been active here for about 6 months. He may answer a PM.

That wasn't my ride. It was just someone at the show that year. They were 100% custom made by the person using original parts. That's all I know.

Thanks for the quick reply 6months isn't bad think I've been off 2 years, I've been playing with the coyote f-100. I have a plan for the tail lights just don't think I'll have them done by the ford nats in Carlisle June 3rd. Kinda a bummer Carlisle is not having the colors this year. We never had tons of black cars but they would always hide us way over in the corner.

My "new" 09

Have loved the retro since they came out in 05 and have wanted one... Spotted this beauty about four blocks from my house with no plates. I knocked on the door and bought it a week or so later.. Have had it a little over a month now.. Usual water intrusion and the carpet padding was saturated.. Pulled the interior and carpeting and dried the carpets in the sun for a three day period and they finally dried out.. Driver power seat was rusted and wouldn't move back and forth. Lubed it all with deep creep and that finally freed up. Now the hvac blend door is drumming. It's on the right side anyway so it shouldn't be too bad to swap out. Printed out a window sticker from monroney labels just like it wouldve had in the showroom. It was $30k dollar car in 09. Has the pony package which gives it that 69 styling. It's a v6 auto with 94k mikes.. Love the color and it drives great. So glad I pursued it and was able to get it... I also have a 1963 Mercury comet s22 convertible and a 99 528 BMW msport sedan...
