Jose ! I definitely like how you transformed your 13 GT into a Mach 1 tribute car, as I also like the 69-70 body style as well..
However IMHO, the S197 does not resemble the 69-70 Mustangs but rather take after the 65-68 2+2 fastback body style instead..
For example, the S197 greenhouse has similar separate A+B pillars as the 65-68 fastback models along with the triangular shaped quarter windows, where as the 69-70 models clearly do not.. Also all 69-70 models have the full sportsroof incorporated into the rear decklid, however on the other hand the decklids on the S197 are all horizontal just as the 65-66 2+2 models were..
Although Ford did take some 69-70 design cues, mostly in the hood, front grille/headlight sections along with the rear tail lights.. The overall body style of the S197 has more in common with the 65-68 fastback models over the 69-70 sportsroof models at least as far as I'm concerned anyhow

I know. I always go to the car shows and mustang meets here in San Diego and there are always 69's and 70's mach ones and Boss's cars. Way out of my price range. I'm hopping to get one when I retire, lol.

If I may submit my rolling homage to the '60's pedigree;
I've added ]
-'66 Gt fender badges,
-billet-style grille overlay,
-Agent 47 "Mach 1" style side view mirrors
-"torque thrust" style 17inch rims for more meaty sidewall tires,
-ribbed chrome trim interior accents and a 1967 deluxe interior dash medallion
-chrome grille trim
-black taillight trim to help delineate the sequential lighting action!
--Last, but not least, my red convertible boot to match the '65-67 convertibles!
Considering deleting the rear spoiler, but not sure yet. Also, I bought chrome taillight trim for a more authentic feel, but it ended up looking a bit too "flashy" on the rear of the black car

I also share in your enthusiasm in paying homage to the classic Mustang era as I feel the very same way and although I don't dislike the new S550 models they just don't re-capture the classic spirit of the 1st generation Mustangs from 64 1/2-1973..
IMHO not only do I consider the S197 Mustang as a modern interpretation of the classic 1st generation era, but they also re-captured the spirit of the original 65-70 models as well..
As far as I'm concerned, when Ford first introduced the S197 in 2003 as a concept car, I was so blown away by how well the S197's retro styling was so reminiscent of those 1st generation Mustangs that I admired from my youth I just knew from that very moment I was going to own one no matter what it took lol.
At any rate, the S197 Mustangs did indeed re-capture the spirit of the classic 1st generation models more than any other model has done since the original Mustang made it's debut in April of 64 and IMO, I highly doubt we'll see another anytime soon that will come even as close as the S197 was able to do..
In the meantime, you most definitely have a very gorgeous Mustang Ed and you also did such a fantastic job in paying homage to the classic 65-66 era as well

Very awesome indeed.. Reminds me of the 2007 Saleen/Parnelli Jones edition

Some retro touch with new billet grille and chrome U-shape moulding. Awaiting for tri-bar running pony emblem to make the look completed.
