And why buy the car if you wont ever 'drive it like' that again? :P

I meant I wont redline it like that again, no reason to bump into the rev limiter again now that I found it - :nono: I will still go fast occasionally.

Now I know how the engine sounds at those RPMs I will instinctively know to shift sooner.. and not have the ol' engine cut off like that... (my heart couldnt take it again... :P )

the incident just plain suprised me, so it was like I was just caught with my .. um.. pants down...

I still hit the limiter from time to time. Been racing the guys at work on the stoplight on the way out of the office - pulling a hard left. Power shifting into second while jamming around that turn is scary and traction is always an issue - but, I've lost more than one race by banging into the limiter. Got to get used to the shift points.

no big deal!! thats what the rev limiter is for. it's there to keep you from damaging the engine in the car. your car is fine. ha ha, your new to this race thing aren't ya!! good luck!
heck .... If I had a dollar for every time I hit the rev limiter !! LOL !! Trust me .. it is addictive ....

when I am racing or just fooling around I always seem to hit the limiter in second regardless of what car I am driving.... (which reminds me that I need to get a tune)..

I seem to be more focused on accelerating then where I am at with the revs, since this motor I think has 500rpm + of extra head room hitting the conservative rev limiter does nothing but kill your acceleration. Since the computer is just killing the fuel and spark momentarily.

It is odd when you hit though because its like WAAAAAAAAAaaaa....... AaawwwWWWAaaaaaaaa
