I about fell out of my chair when the ERT told me my order was serialized and awaiting an ETA. I was seriously beginning to lose hope since I had placed my order 14 weeks ago.

I'll give my dealer a call in a little bit to see if he knows anything more. So now I guess the waiting continues, but at least now I can wait and know that I will get my car. I'm guessing 4 to 6 weeks of a wait?

Congrats! Your wait has been a long one, I can only imagine your frustration. But, as has been said here many times, you'll forget about the wait as soon as you start your new car on delivery day

Congrats, the wait is almost over and you won't even remember all the time spent waiting once you have the car. It will be time to go out and have plenty of fun.

You should get a build date within a couple days - I had mine 3 or 4 days after being serialized and "awaiting a build date" - so check back often. I was serialized on 4/21 and my build date is now week of May 9 - so about 3 weeks after serialization. I figure it'll be another couple weeks after its built to delivery, so 4-6 weeks sounds just right.

Congrats!

Agreed with what Jack said, I was serialized on 4/14, and got a build date on 4/18 for week of 5/2. Probably get the car the 3rd week of May, so probably about a month to 1.5 months till u have ur car.

Wow that must feel good to have her tell you something other than C/U, I have just checked as well, Mine was still C/U as of 4/27/05...hmmm, wonder why it was not updated to the 28th as yours was, interesting.

I was serialized April 7th. I called early on the 8th and found this out. I couldn't believe my ears so I called back that evening and she changed her story. I was now scheduled for a build date. So call back later today and you will probably get your build date. Good Luck.

My dealer says my car should be here today or Monday so get your nanners ready  :spin: :w00t:

Congrats, Angela. Similar to what the others have said. I was serialized 4/21 and got a build date by 4/25, so 4-6 weeks is a fair estimate.

You must be twice as exicited as I am since I only had to wait 6/7 weeks.

Congrats, again. I hope the time passes quickly for you!

I just called and I too am still C/U as of 4/27. Who knows maybe once it's updated to 4/28 we'll both be serialzed like Angela. We can only hope. Of course I feel bad for you Angela, I can't imagine having to wait 14 weeks to be serialized, but at least you are in the home stretch compared to how long it's already been. I wish you a speedy delivery and congrats.

Congrats!! I know how you felt.

Call back later this eve after 10PM EST or tomorrow. The order will likely have a build week update. My build date was assigned that fast.

The only way it would have updated to 4/28 would if the order had been pulled and serialized.

Dude - your order is not even a month old yet? If ERL does not give you THE DATE you call on a Fri morning, just hang up before she even speaks. You'll be C&U!

Well I figured as much but I was trying to be optimistic, so much for that. Do they only pull cars and serialize them on Thursday? I think I heard that on another forum. Guess I'll have to wait another week.

Just to clarify, last week end ERL said "as of April 21st, build date of 5/16" Yesterday she said the same thing. Does that mean serialized ?

If you have a build date already then you were already serialized and you should have a VIN. They have to have a VIN before they can be scheduled to be built.

The ERL just gave me a build week of 5/30, that's 4 weeks after being serialized which seems like it will be forever, but that's ok, I'm just happy my order was finally pulled. My build week is the week of the Memorial Day holiday, hopefully the Ford employees who build my car don't have barbeque on the brain.

Thanks. I assume that my dealer gives me the serial number like I asked and since I already bought he has no reason to call me and that's why I don't have the serial number !!!
