Have you done a search yet?? This subject has been talked about numorous times. But I will humor it once more... it depends on what you want out of the car. 4.10 is good for manual cars that are naturally aspirated.... 3.73s are perfect for Automatics. If you are planning on getting a twin screw type supercharger...then I would suggest 3.73 although some supercharged guys have been running 4.10s and love it. If you are going to run a centrifugal or turbo...I would say 4.10s or 3.73... again... all preference. If you have 3.55 gears now... and moved to 3.73... not much difference. So now that youve asked the question I would say please start by telling us what what you are driving.... V8 V6 manual? Auto? Mods? future mods? what you want the car to do? etc..... Oh and the search button is at the top.... plug in the same as your subject and you should pull some info

I always heard the opposite. 3.73 for manual and 4.10 for auto.

Nah, I can make it simple. If you got a manual with 3:55's keep them and be happy unless you plan to run it at the track a lot then upgrade to 4:10s because going from a 3:55 to a 3:73 would not be worth the money. If you have an automatic with 3:31's get some 3:73 gears for the road and if you go to the track a lot then go with the 4:10's.

I haven't made it to the track yet, but I love my 4.10's.

I can't wait to get some for mine Thanks Tacobill for all those great write ups. It makes life so much easier doing any mods.

No prob!

You'll love the gears when you get them in.

I have a manual with stock 3.55s and I drove a manual with 4.10s in it today after helping to install a set of Steeda UDPs. Besides the gears, both cars are fairly similarly optioned with aftermarket parts. The 4.10s seemed pretty cool and the difference in RPMs and reported mileage on the street seems minimal. I think I'm hooked on eventually switching to the 4.10s.
