Our local dealer that we purchased our first 05 GT Stang from is asking $35,000 for a fully loaded convertible GT. My car was almost fully loaded minus the Shaker 1000 and Anti-theft system and we got it for $25,900. Do you guys think their asking a bit much for the vert? Let me know what you think. Thanks guys

Well, if it has EVERYTHING, including auto, it is not too bad of a price. Probably $500-1000 over MSRP.

I only ask because my old man is thinking about buying it and I don't know what the convertibles have been going for. Been spending too much time in the GT tech forum!

You can check the pricing guide in the timeline for 2005.

If I did the numbers right, though. GT Convertible w/ IUP, ICAP, Bright Wheels, Airbags, Locking kit, Soft Boot, Automatic has MSRP of $33,410.

Before I found out my order got kicked to the curb (c/u since 1/17), my Torch Red GT premium vert had every option except auto trans and Shaker 1000. My out the door price was $35,000 even. The MSRP was $32,785. I can't wait to see how I get reamed for the '06 with price increases.

See my sig for my options. I am paying $30,500 before tax. Close to $33,000 after tax.

Mine (set up in my sig) was $33,000 or so MSRP but I paid $2,000 above sticker just to get it done. I'd say it isn't too much if you don't want to wait. I figure with the allocation issues around the nation a dealer is a fool to not put a premium on a car sitting on his lot.

That's without Shaker 1000($1770) and Anti-theft($255).
