I got a call from my friend who owns a local Ford dealership. FORD announced a 3000.00 rebate/discount on ALL 05 Mustangs remaining in dealer stock
My friend thought it was only supposed to be for the V6 edition, but ran an 05 GT Windveil 'Vert (fully loaded, AT, D plan, 28,000.00) and it qualified (my brother put deposit down as I am writing this) . Too bad he only had one GT 'Vert left. If you have had your eye on one, now is the time to buy!

I just checked the Ford website for incentives in my area and there are NO incentives listed for the 05+ Mustang. It's regional.

EDIT: I did a little checking for different areas around the country and haven't found any rebates on Mustangs.

That's kinda what I thought as well. Sounds like 1 dealer in the country is being an early Santa....Ho-Ho-Ho.

Hard to imagine there are any more '05 Mustangs remaining in dealer stock.

Here we are, what, about 7-8 months into '06 production already.

Around Nashville there are still 05 GT coupes at a few dealerships, and even a few more v6 Coupes and v6 verts.

That's what happens when you place a market adjustment on something that has a year to sell. Its just what those greedy fools deserve. Too bad Ford has to take the hit for its Stealers crap.

Double checked with dealer. Ford is calling it "Dealer Cash Incentive", not rebate money. Sorry, my bad earlier. Went to a different dealer while son was at hockey practice, they confirmed "Cash Incentive" but said only up to 2000.00 available. I asked why not 3000.00, and was asked in return, "How did you know about that?" Was then told that it only came out last night, that dealer was offering 2000.00 on V6 'Vert (2 available) and 3000.00 on V6 Coupe (only 1). They had no GT's of any type. It may be regional, not sure, but no doubt is available in New England region, and can confirm that at least 1 GT 'Vert was sold today with 3000.00 dealer cash offer!

It is listed as $3000 dealer cash. That means it isn't disclosed to the public. The dealer can use it for additional trade allowance, discount or just keep it.

I had read this week a newspaper article about GM having its "March Madness" and that Ford was probably going to offer some sort of dealer incentive (not rebate).

Sounds like your brother got a great deal! I think it's sort of cool with both of you having windveil 'verts too

I dont like how the salesman questioned you about your knowledge of how you attained information they would try and keep from you.. That right there tells you they were going to pocket the $2k as profit.. See this is what it has come to.. Greedy Mustang Dealers, who question you in regards to money Ford is trying to give back to you.. They want to take it.. Let them keep their 05's and get run out of business greedy sons of #$%@$! Best part about having a new 05 in the family is that my sons and I get to upgrade and mod his GT without having to spend any cash! Bro said "Make a list and get it done". I think I will start with the interior upgrades (Hellooooo MGW!), then move to the exterior and when the warm weather comes around, hit the "Performance up-grade" buttons. Time to begin spending some one elses money! Just think. That '05 Mustang will be two years old in a few months. Wonder what KBB says it will be worth. Those things should be discounted.
