30,096 miles on odometer and car died
I had a Paxton 2200 installed just two months ago with A Kenne Bell Boost A Pump. Everything has been fine, until last night. I was cruising along at 70 mph when my throttle stopped responding and the car seemed to go into limp mode. There were no warning lights on the dash and the dash system check showed nothing wrong. I pulled out my tunner and checked for diagnostic trouble codes but there was nothing. All fluid levels are fine and there was nothing leaking. Car starts but seems like it starving for fuel (the tanks half full). Called AAA for flatbed and had her hauled to nearest stealership and I'm waiting for them to let me know what they find. I would have thought that if I was having trouble with a fuel pump or a clogged fuel line that it would have thrown a code. Anybody want to venture a guess what's wrong?
I bet the boost a pump killed the fuel pump. check the wiring that runs to the pump and see if it fried. Suck it up and just buy a GT500 kit
The cheap way is always the most expensive. You're lucky that the car didn't detonate punch windows in your block. Be thankful and shell out the 700 for the new pump

No fuel presure gauge?
you could check the fuel pressure with an tuner
What usually happens with a BAP though is that it makes the voltage too high for the stock wire harness to handle and the wire that runs from the FPDM to the fuel pump melts. Check that out first. What I put a BAP in my friend's 05, I disconnected the pins from both ends of the harness and replaced the entire length of the wire with a thicker gauge wire and plugged those pins back in.

OK it's official. Less than two months (I never really got on it hard) and the fuel pump is shot. The dealership is denying the warranty and blaming the Kenne Bell boost-a-pump. The the guys that installed the Paxton and BAP are saying that they have run all their cars (3 of them) with the BAPs and installed them on customers supercharged mustangs with no problems. They were the one's that talked me out of going with the GT 500 fuel pump to begin with, saying that the BAP was more than enough.
Looks like I'm screwed and will now have to shell out the money to have the GT500 fuel pumps put in. Dustin is right. Also, if anybody tells you as long as you have a safe tune you're OK running a supercharger without without boost and fuel pressure guages, don't listen. I knew I shouldn't have waited to buy them. I'm just glad that I didn't put one through the block. Just because there are a lot of satisifed customers, it doesn't mean that their Tech people are always right, sometime it's better to go with the collective wisdom of what everyone on this forum is telling people.

That sucks bro, I think I'll start with the GT500 pumps, not because of the BAP problems Ive heard, but because it's a FRPP part, and I've never heard anything bad about the GT500 engines/fuel delivery. Good luck
The dealer gave me a price of $896 installed for the GT 500 fuel pump install. That sounds alright, but they have never heard of this being used on a Mustang GT. I told them that a lot of guys that have supercharged their 05-08 GTs have used them. They said they wil put it in but they can't guarntee it will work right. I have a copy of the installation instruction and it looks straightworward to me. Any of you that have done this know of anything special you have to do to make this work?
you can't just swap the pump the harness needs to change too. JDM Engineering sells the kit for 800 so I doubt the $896 quote the dealer gave you was for the whole setup, thagt was pump only

Takes 5 hours so I guarantee they will charge you 500 for labor. Do it yourself
