Guess I am either blind and my search feature doesn't work but that article is just about a GT, not a GT-500. Oh, and ya, it is easy to get 25mpg in these cars. I am averaging 26MPG.

FYI,
I average 19 Mpg on my 60 Mile Daily Commute. Mostly 80% Highway 20% City Drive. And That is with a C&L Intake / sct 3 Bama Chips Tune. 07 Gt-500

I routinely get over 22 miles per gallon with my GT500
Hum...
Getting 25 miles per gallon with a GT500 doesn't seem that far fetched to me. I routinely get over 22 miles per gallon on the highway with mine and that is normal driving, not hypermileing?

65 @ ~1750 RPM matches my spreadsheet calculation for TR-6060 w/ 18" GT500 wheels and 3.31 rear gears. 60 MPH should translate to roughly 1600 RPM.
With my TR-3650, 3.55s, and stock 17" tires, the GT engine churns at 1800 RPM at 60 MPH. I wish I didn't opt for the $87 3.55 gas guzzling gears.
My GT can get 23 MPG with mixed highway/city driving. In the same driving schedule, my Crown Vic gets 18-19 MPG (again, due to the gas guzzling 3.55s).
