2010-2012 Exhaust on a 2006?

Just wondering if it was possible to get a stock 2010-2012 Mustang GT exhaust for my 2006 GT? If so, where would you be able to order that from and would it just be a direct replacement? Thanks guys.

it would not fit. 2005-10 is different from the 2011-13.

Is the stock 2010 exhaust bigger than the stock 05-09 exhaust?

For some reason, it looks to me like in pictures that the 2010 ones have a bigger stock exhaust than on my 2006? Is there anywhere to buy a stock 2010 exhaust? And that would fit on my 2006 if I could find one?

What exhaust would you suggest if I want something that's as true to the stock Mustang sound as possible? I don't want to alter the sound really, I just want it to be a little louder. Just from looking at the stuff on American Muscle, most of those exhaust seem way too big. They just look weird to me, which is why I was asking about the 2010 exhaust.

If you want to keep the stock appearance Think about upgrading the midpipe and/or headers and leaving the factory axleback.

Or look for exhaust off of a bullitt, but be prepared to spend big bucks if you go that way.

Or, go to your local muffler shop and have them weld in a little louder mufflers and reuse the stock tips.

I was thinking maybe going with the Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust. It seems to keep the muscle car sound of the Mustang and not make it sound too ridiculous. What's the standard price for having a new exhaust like that installed?

ford racing would be what you are looking for if you what it to look stock and sound a little better. Ford racing axlebacks are what you need.

+1... plus IMO, after hearing my gpa's 05 GT compared to my uncles '10 GT. i think my gpa's GT (when he had stock mufflers) is much louder than my uncles '10 GT.

It's a very simple job installing axel backs....with simple tools, you can do it yourself. So should just be the price of axel backs, and then your time.
I used to change mine out on my '07 all the time. I got the change down to about 20 minutes without a lift.
