That's cool, but some of the colors seem to be off.

A computer can only display so many colors.

The dark candy apple red seems to be almost purple. It might be better to see a sample.

Thanks for the info however.......

Sangria is definitely darker then redfire(and not as nice IMO), Foci came in that color for a few years. I thought windvail was still available

And why does Ford continue to list Grabber Orange as metallic?

I agree about the DCR. Too purple. Almost like the Vintage Burgandy from the '65s.

I'll withhold judgement until I see one in person...

Yeah Candy apple red looks little to much like a Burgundy. Really not what I expected out of that color since it's the replacement for red fire. I ordered an 08 in the candy apple and starting to think about changing it. Sure wish my neighbor didn't get a 427R in Vista Blue. Would have made my choose easier.

I'm not sure if Candy Apple is going to look like burgundy? Here's a link to a pic of what candy apple looks like from an actual touch up kit

http://server3.pictiger.com/img/1037.../dsc-00509.php

It looks pretty good to me, not like burgundy.

I hope this helps. I was at a local Ford dealer just yesterday, and they didn't have any color samples for the 08 Mustangs yet.

Just look at any Focus that looks like Redfire(not the dark brown torador red), you'll know it when you see it.

Kevinb120 maybe you're more in the know, but I believe the Sangria Red paint code on the 2002-2004 Ford Focus was FL/M6758 . This color was also known as Toreador Red Pearl Metallic Clearcoat.

The new dark candy apple red paint code is JV 7197A. I looked through some paint code websites and couldn't find any previous Fords with the JV color

Kevin, any comments? Would the color still be the same if it has a different paint code?

To bring up that old thing, Torador red is VERY dark, almost identical to a Redskins team helmet. Used for years and years on the F150, but that was only available on 06-up Foci. Sangria red was a slightly lighter and 'flatter' color then Redfire. Torador red is a staple Ford color being everpresent on F-series and Taurus, there must be an error somewhere as there is no confusion between that and sangria. Being next to DC Torador/arizona beige two tone F-series are very popular here, I have no less then 5 of them on the used lot alone. Torador is virtually identical(may be the same color) as Merlot used on the fusion/500/Freestyle.
