I've never been a fan of the pony package. I have shown the pictures to people at work and even some of them msaid "What in the #^@* did they do to that car?"

I think the Pony Package looks good myself. I def think the 05 V6 Grill needs something added to it...

As for the 06's, there have only been minor changes from the 05's correct (both GT and V6's)?

Has the MSRP for the 06's gone UP or DOWN? Anyone know? Edmunds still has the 05 pricing on thier website and I went to Ford's website to build my vehicle and it still says 05...

Frank, I think the initial price level for 2006 models (level 615) is about $200 more or something like that. There was a thread in the past week or so that some optional items came in lower, so the net order price might be the same as 2005 or slightly less; that I don't know about for sure.

I've said it before on many other threads and I'll say it again. Do NOT judge Tungsten by digital photos on overcast days. When you see this color in person you are gonna be happy.

I've obsessed over this color for the last 90 days and no, I've not seen a complete car in the sun, but it's gonna POP.

Wait... to see it... in person!

I do not like the grill either. It just doesn't look right. I'm not saying this because it looks "more" like a GT, just my opinion. I agree with some others, it might look better with just smaller fogs and NO coralled pony.

I will reserve judgement on the new color till I see it in person. I must say with all the BUZZ, so far it has let me down. But colors are much diff in person. I never realized the purple in Sonic Blue till I saw it in person.

Also, keep in mind until today, nobody's seen a GT in Tungsten without LeMans stipes. The stripes on ANY Mustang GT makes the car pop.

Think about this. Adrenalin's car is sweet. It would be sweet without the stripes, but I don't think eveyone on this site would be as crazy for his car if it did not have the stripes.

Say it with me now in your best Jerry Maguire voice...

(Oh, stripes...) YOU COMPLETE ME!

Its official...tungsten needs the stripes to look cool...=(

OK, thats a bit of an overstatement, but as someone who has an 06 tungsten on the way, I'm a bit disappointed.

I still have hope: a couple of layers of Zaino + satin silver or black racing stripes. Too bad the dang racing stripes cost like $1500-$2500 aftermarket (are these numbers correct?).
Agree... I'm going to order the LeMans stripes from BaltimoreStreetMods.com... I believe they're $149... I was thinking paint, but if vinyl is good enough for the Shelby, it's good enough for me!

I was really never a fan of the pony package myself, I think it will help v6 sales though and I see exactly where ford got the idea from (see photo)
Where are the vista blue photos hehe.

Thanx Paris... I've heard the same thing... I was just curious... Just have to wait until the numbers come out... Even though the cars are being delivered. I was just curious because I was wondering how it will affect the resale value of the 05's. NADA and KBB still don't have values for it yet...

There was not a huge increase in price but since PL615 came out, we are now in PL 620. Freight increased by $20 and the Dealer Advertising surcharge went up $12 [at least in our area as it varies from area to area]. Neither of these are price protected and since just about all 06's will be invoices after Aug 1st, you will have to pat the extra =/- $32.00.

I ordered my 2006 V6 in April, order placed in early June, and will arrive at the end of September (hopefully). I paid +0.7% more than the 2005 pricing, or $155 more. Also, I am only paying $500 over dealer cost (cool). My total cost (without sales tax) for a Premium V6 with 18G Gauge Package, KR Red Leather, and 68R Accent Package is $21,182. Since (with my teenage driver) I am saving $2,000 every six months over my Supercharged 1988 GT, this car will pay for itself in just 5+ years. I can't afford not to buy this thing! How is that for RATIONALIZATION.
Groovy!

Yah I dont like that front grill on the pony package. Looks like somebody's thin stainless steel rim glasses. Too much for me.

I spotted a Pony Package one on a car carrier this morning headed toward a Ford dealer in Elgin. I didn't even see it until the truck turned a corner and there it was further up on the truck.

Detroit.... Bill Brown Ford, Livonia
Jack Demmer in Wayne-Detroit also had a Tungsten Mustang last Friday (no pics). IMO, the color is fantastic and I'm glad I ordered it!

The Pony Package...I didn't care for either.

Wow, great pics. IMO the Tungsten looks awesome. I was getting worried that it wasn't dark enough...I almost went with black, but now I'm glad I picked the Tungsten.
