We've already seen a few Tungsten 2006 Mustangs on lots, but word from Flat Rock is that no Vista Blue Mustangs have been produced.

 

Well this just ruined my day!

Come on Ford theres only so much summer left!

 

lol so apparently I made a wise choice when I decided to go Tungsten...

 

So does that mean that there is a delay for Vista Blue, or just that none have been produced?

 

I have ordered Vista Blue and have a build week of 8/22 and that was current as of this past Friday. I'll call ERL this evening when I get home from work and see if that date has changed or not. If it has, I'll post to this and let eveyone know what she says. -Marci

I noticed this also. Since it's Monday, and Monday mornings are never real busy, I went on the computer here at work, and did a locate of any 2006 Mustangs, coupe or verts, V6's or GT's to see if there were any in Vista Blue, (so I can see one in person, if it were close). I searched the WHOLE COUNTRY, 3,787 dealers, and NONE! ANYWHERE!! There were none around. wonder what the issue is ?

 

I sent an email to the brand manager, we'll see what he says

 

My salesperson said that I won't get my 2006 till November anyway so this probably doesn't affect me but I'm sorry to hear that for all of you with earlier build dates. Hope they can get it sorted out quickly.

 

Maybe they will continue with the Sonic Blue for a while?

 

I hope not, not that I don't like the color (if I bought an 05 it would have been sonic) but, I didn't order sonic blue and I will be pissed if I don't get my car by the end of september because of some color goof up :bang:

 

Sonic Blue isn't a 2006 color. I don't see them painting a few 2006s with SB until VB is ready to go. We'll just have to wait for VB (or buy a 2005 SB).

 

ERL for me is still saying "as of August 16 your vehicle is scheduled to be built the week of August 15" So hopefully it will be built on time. One can hope.

 

I think that's kind of like a target date... my message went to "as of August 11th your vehicle is scheduled to be built the week of August 8th" and per Mr. Kzinti over at BON, I ended up being built on August 12th...she was pretty close.
I can't see a hold on the VB if cars like yours are this close to being built.

 

Pehaps they are having supplier issues, maybe for example a supplier may be backlogged and can't get them painted bumpers/fascias/spoilers.

 

I called ERL last night and it hasn't changed. We are still scheduled to be built the week of August 22nd. So, if it has been delayed, they haven't changed the ERL. -Marci

 

i have a Vista Blue GT coming... Per Mr. Kzinti over on BON i am scheduled to build today. Is he wrong???

 

I just heard from the dealer that Ford says that my Stang will be pulled this Thursday. He finally called to see why my order was being held up (It’s been a painful month since my order was placed on 7/14/05). Ford said that it had not been pulled since I was asking for a manual transmission. Vista Blue was not the problem.

Now we just need the confirmation from Ford that it has been pulled, I get a VIN and can check progress.

The other Vista Blue thread sites a plant worker who reported the 1st batch of Vista Blue cars rolled down the line yesterday.
