2006 v6 mustang
Hey y’all I joined specifically to ask this question, so I’m pretty sure someone took the oil out of my car cause it ended up completely dying on me and I had no oil light come on and when I checked there was almost no oil on the dipstick, and when I replaced the oil and oil filter my car sounded like it wanted to start when I was cranking it and then white smoke started coming out of the cold air intake I have on it, and it will not start so I was wondering what it could be, I have had people tell me it was a blown head gasket but I wanted more opinions on it, and if it is could someone explain how I would replace that

Hello,
How about a Little back Story on the Car, How Long Have you Had it? Have you Been Having Issues Before? How Many Miles On the Car. Did you Regular Have the Oil Changed regularly in the Past. The More Background the Better the Chance of Getting some Good Answers.
Regards,
K

I’ve had the car for about 1-2 months before this had happened, and it has somewhere between 209,000 to 210,000 miles on it,(which I think could play a role in this), I got it when it was around 204,000 miles, and if I’m being completely honest I never changed the oil in it(which I know is bad user error on my part), I had never had any problems before hand with it, it always drove nice. I know I probably did it to myself by not changing the oil

I think you are Heading towards an Engine Exchange. Either a Much Lower Miles Used or a Rebuilt Long Block. Due to the High Miles If it is Head Gaskets it's a Band aid on a Bullet Hole in my opinion. If Going Used I advise using exact Year as Little Year by Year Changes can bite you in the Rear and usually after the Engine is Installed. Seen it in the Shops over the Years Many Times! You have to weigh the Condition of the Car if it is worth the Investment. Sorry to be the Bearer of Bad News.
It's hard to make the Call over a small Internet Post but with the Info Provided this what I got! You May want to Sell it As Is to Cut your Losses. It's good you Realize and admit the Issue was likely self inflicted as you won't do that again. I ruined a 302 in 1978 in my first car a 68 Cougar after changing the Intake and Not changing the Oil. It got some water in the Engine from the Intake Cooling Passages. I Never did that again! Car Mistakes can Be Expensive but Lesson Learned Don't Cut Corners!
If you can Find Someone Really Knowledgeable Locally to Check it out it maybe worth the While for a final Call. You Never Know!
BTMO!

So what if I wanted to just save up enough to buy a brand new crated coyote and drop it in, Ik it would take a lot of work and bunch of different parts just to make sure it doesn’t blow up when I try to start it, but would it be worth it? Or would it be worth it to just buy a different mustang and ACTUALLY take care of this one? Because part of me doesn’t want to get rid of it but the other part doesn’t want to go through the hassle and expensiveness of trying to swap the engine

For a higher mileage "11" 5.0.. I would agree with starting at 15K.. For lower to mid mileage "11" Coyote 5.0 models, no way!
